In this presentation, Flint will discuss the emerging trend of connectivity in mobile phones. The rapid growth of smart and multimedia phones is being driven in part by the availability of connectivity technologies such as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM radio, in addition to emerging technologies such as UWB, NFC, mobile TV, and WiMAX. Semiconductor providers of these technologies are quickly integrating these technologies into the mobile phone and driving down prices in the process, which is further increasing attach rates. This presentation highlights several of the integration trends that are taking place and shares IDC’s latest forecast growth in this area. |
