Lim Chin-Keng, Director of Field System Engineering and Partner Enablement, F5 Networks.
Chin has more than 17 years of experience in IT, eight of those years in IT consulting. With keen understanding of distributed computing, he has architected complex applications using open technologies like Java, CORBA and Web Services, for wireless, internet and intranet services. He has also expounded these ideas at events such as IDC, Intel, XML One, Computer World Conference, Sun Technology Conference, HP Developer Conference and BEA User Conferences. Chin specialises in enterprise architecture for efficient delivery of applications, and network infrastructure design.
Currently in F5 Networks, he is responsible for adoption of application and data delivery solutions in APAC.
Chin came from Borland Software where he was the Director of Borland’s Product Sales Management for APAC. The Borland solutions managed include application lifecycle management and middleware.
Prior to this role, Chin led a team of solution managers and consultants in BEA and helped companies to define and architect distributed application infrastructure. Chin was also a technology evangelist and key spokesman for BEA in the region.
Chin played Project Manager and Solution Architect in HP Consulting and Integration. Some of the key systems he implemented include high-speed campus
LAN/WAN infrastructure, security and firewall, server and network management, multi-tier application development, and enterprise collaboration.
Chin holds a B. Eng in Computer Engineering (First Class) from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
