Wong Soon Nam is SingTel’s Vice President of Business Marketing, a portfolio he held since 1 June 2005. He oversees the formulation of global marketing plans and strategies as well as identifying and growing new businesses.
Prior to this appointment, he was the Vice President of Account Management in the Corporate Business Group, a position he held since 2002. Before that, Soon Nam was the Chief Executive Officer of SingTel Aeradio, a systems integration arm wholly owned by SingTel.
Besides these key appointments, Soon Nam previously held the positions of Director of Operation, Director of Engineering and Director of Customer Solution. He also sits on the Boards of various SingTel’s investments.
He started his career in Singapore’s Ministry of Defence and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of telecommunications.
Soon Nam is a very active player in the Singapore ICT industry. He currently sits in Singapore IT Federation (SiTF) as a Council Member. He is also a member of the SCCCI Technology Committee and IDA Brand Management Committee.
Soon Nam graduated with First Class Honours in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore. |
