Ali Hakim Sales Manager - Asia, Akamai Technologies
Mr. Hakim is the Sales Manager for Asia of Akamai Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading global service provider for accelerating content and business processes online. Based in Akamai’s Asia-Pacific regional headquarters in Singapore, Ali drives Akamai’s sales and business development in key Asia markets both direct and through working with strategic partners in the region.
Mr. Hakim developed a career in info-communication industry over the last 15 years; starting as an automation engineer in Hewlett Packard and then assuming sales responsibilities in enterprise software companies as well as managed services provider, Atos Origin. Ali gained knowledge of business challenges through working with several leading enterprises in various industries, as well as the experience of how these companies had leveraged managed services to achieve better business results and competitive advantage.
Prior to joining Akamai, Ali pioneered the Asia regional sales operation of SeeBeyond, a leading enterprise application integration software company (now acquired by Sun Microsystems); grown the business as well as acquired key customers in several Asian countries.
Born a Chinese Indonesian and now a Singapore citizen, Ali has a Master of Science in Manufacturing System Engineering from University of Texas at Austin.
