Dr. Santosh Kumar Mohanty is a Senior Executive at Tata
Consultancy Services Ltd. He has more than twenty two
years of industry, research and teaching experience and
with a wide spectrum of expertise that includes Business
Strategy, Practice Management, Partner Collaboration,
Corporate Research & Development, Training and
Teaching. He has Ph.D and MS in Computational
Mathematics from Northern Illinois University, IL, USA.
Dr. Mohanty is the global Practice Director for Business Intelligence and Performance
Management (BIPM) Services and is instrumental in bringing substantial revenue
growth, solution depth, nalysts, partners and institutional relationship and
customized services under these practices.
Dr. Mohanty also leads the TCS SOA leadership team and has architected SOLAR
Framework (Service Oriented Logical Architecture Reference) that provides
customers a self optimized architecture towards Integration & Information
Management solutions through business initiative maps.
During last ten years, he has pioneered in building TCS methodology in Data
Warehousing (BIDS™), Knowledge Management (SIGMARG™) and process
architecture for Knowledge Discovery (Data Mining and Text Mining) that leads to
highly successful program implementations. He is the lead architect in building maturity model’ for knowledge anagement (5i-KM3™) and technology
management (eSTREAM™) that provides sustained-dvantage and enables a key
differentiator for TCS. He was a SEI CMM assessor and ontributed towards defining
TCS R&D and Product Process Handbook.
The prime contribution of Dr. Mohanty is in terms of strategize, build and tailor
solution & service model, consulting guiding customers in transitioning technology
and knowledge to actionable form that leads to enhanced organizational performance
and value measurement. His current research is in the area of Service Orientation,
Technology Evaluation & Adoption, Business Process Management, Data Integration,
Analytical Data Modeling, Business Analytics, Data & Text Mining, Content
Management and Knowledge Management. Prior to joining TCS, he was actively
involved in teaching & research and published many articles on fast and stable
algorithms that exploit parallel/distributed architecture.
As a part of organizational development, he is well known for team building,
mentoring and driving knowledge management. From personal front, he is fond of
regular light workouts, reading short stories, bringing mathematical analogy to
socital problems and following cricket and tennis matches. |
