Tan Teng Cheong Country Manager, Sybase Singapore
As Country Manager for Sybase Singapore, Tan Teng Cheong is responsible for business development, sales, marketing communications, professional services and overall management of Sybase's business operations throughout the city state.
With more than 17 years IT industry experience Teng Cheong started his career as a consultant with Andersen Consulting (currently Accenture). He has also worked at IBM/Lotus and Avanade – where he held the position of General Manager for Singapore. Teng Cheong has many years of experience working throughout Asia having been based in Indonesia, Taiwan and China.
Prior to joining Sybase, Teng Cheong spent two years working in Dalian, China at HiSoft Technology Inc, a China-based IT outsourcing company, where he had responsibility for International Clients and for building HiSoft’s USA & International software outsourcing business.
Teng Cheong graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree.
