Piti Pramotedham

Piti Pramotedham brings more than 10 years of technology experience to his position of MD of Computer Associates (CA) Asia South. CA provides the software that manages eBusiness. The company offers the industry's most comprehensive and advanced portfolio of solutions for eBusiness management including infrastructure, processes and information. CA specializes in six key areas including security; enterprise management; storage; application life cycle management, data management and application management; and portal and business intelligence.

Currently the Chairman of the Security Chapter with the Singapore Information Technology Federation (SITF), Mr. Pramotedham joined CA in 1993. His focus on helping customers deliver business value through technology saw him promoted to Country Manager for Singapore just two years later. In 1997, Mr. Pramotedham became Managing Director for Malaysia. Here, he worked with customers to take advantage of CA's expertise in large enterprises to capitalize on client/server and e-commerce opportunities. Mr. Pramotedham's experience and knowledge ensured solid results for key customers such as KL Stock Exchange, Petronas, Malayan Banking Berhad, MBf Finance, and Telekom Malaysia.

During his helm in Hong Kong from 1999 through 2000, Mr. Pramotedham grew sales revenue over 280 percent year-on-year by establishing strong partnership programs such as ASL (CA's Unicenter partner). He also worked closely with the HK Jockey Club, HSBC, HK Stock Exchange, Hutchinson International Terminal, TVB and SuneVision Group to implement eBusiness solutions. A significant accomplishment was the CA/ASP joint venture he was instrumental in the Platinum merger and was key in ensuring the successful integration of the two operations.

Mr. Pramotedham has been immersed in eBusiness for almost a decade, seeing it evolve from initial concepts to a business fundamental that is permeating the value chains of every size of enterprise. His real-world experience and deep understanding of eBusiness issues and technology gives Mr. Pramotedham rare insight into how any organization can gain and sustain a competitive advantage in an era that demands speed, innovation, accuracy and trust.

A graduate of the National University of Singapore, Mr. Pramotedham was born in Bangkok, Thailand, but has lived in Singapore for over 20 years.
