Aloysius Cheang
President, IT security practitioner, SIG Singapore

Aloysius is an IT security practitioner with vast experience in both private and public sectors. He is often recognized as an INFOSEC evangelist in the island nation. Aloysius is a founding member of SIG2 (http://www.security.org.sg) and has been her president for past 3 terms. He also served on board as a founding member on the National BCP/DR, National Network Security Standards and National Security Assurance working groups under ITSC. At the same time, He is a contributor and country representative to ISO/IEC/JTC 1/SC 27, which publishes international security standards such as ISO17799. Aloysius also advises various education institutes, that deliver security courses and sits on the Accreditation Panel of NICC's Accreditation Committee. In the course of his undertakings, he is featured regularly in the media and spoke frequently at various local and international IT security conferences, seminars and workshops. Aloysius specializes in network security and mobile technology security. He has extensive experience in business continuity, incident handling, security review and audit.

Aloysius holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a pioneer Sairs GNU Linux Certified Professional (LCP). He also held the SANS GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification since 2000.
