Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) is a term often heard these days. Senior executives of large enterprises are understandably concerned about their organization's compliance and adherence to the GRC objectives, be it regulatory requirements or simply good governance practices. Security is often the keystone to achieving GRC objectives. This IDC presentation gives an IT security investment overview in Asia/Pacific, highlighting the top concerns and pain points of IT decision makers in this part of the world. We also discuss the security spending intentions of these decision makers and the factors affecting their investment decisions. Delegates will have the opportunity to relate the results from their fellow IT decision makers to their own experiences, and discuss with the IDC analyst on the implications of the results. The presentation will conclude with a discussion on IDC's forecast of important emerging technologies that will affect the security and threat landscape, with highlights of the emerging trends delegates should watch out for. |

Public and private organizations alike face the challenge of complying with many regulations aimed at ensuring accountability for corporate governance, privacy, information access and other issues. The pains associated with compliance go beyond your need to automate complex business policies and processes. You need to provide proof to auditors that your organization is compliant with internal, government, and industry regulations.
Turning these challenges into opportunities begins with recognizing the common thread between regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, the European Data Protection Directive and others. The common thread is identity management.
Join this roundtable discussion to learn about innovative compliance strategies based on proven identity management technologies. |
