Tim Bailey Director of
Platform Marketing, Intel Asia Pacific
Tim Bailey is the Director of Platform
Marketing for Intel's Asia Pacific region.
He oversees demand creation for Intel Architecture
desktop, mobile, and server products and
platforms through implementation of system
initiatives, marketing programs, and OEM
education in 14 countries in Asia Pacific.
His strong marketing background enables
him to provide both a worldwide perspective
of the PC industry and a local knowledge
of Asia Pacific market requirements.
Mr. Bailey joined Intel in 1995, and has
held several sales and marketing positions
in both the United States and Asia Pacific.
Most recently, he was Regional Marketing
Manager for desktop and mobile platforms
for Intel Asia Pacific. Prior to this he
was a marketing manager for the Mobile Platforms
Group and was responsible for managing the
division's relationships with Intel's worldwide
OEM and ODM customer base. He received an
Intel Achievement Award for his role in
the development and execution of the Intel®
Centrino Mobile Technology launch.
Previously, he was the technical assistant
to then Senior Vice President of Microprocessor
Products Group Albert Yu and worked to ensure
that Dr. Yu's internal and external activities
helped drive Intel's microprocessor roadmap
and further developed Intel's technology
leadership role. Mr. Bailey began his Intel
career in Intel's desktop motherboard operation
where he was responsible for business activities
with Asia Pacific and Japan.
