Mr. Damien Wong is Mercury's Director for Business Technology Optimization (BTO) solutions for the ASEAN region, and is responsible for promoting the awareness and adoption of effective BTO best-practices and technology.

Damien is a much sought-after speaker and has been cited in many regional industry publications as well as presented in major conferences such as the 12th Asia Pacific CFO Roundtable, Project Management Institute Annual Symposium 2005, Institute of Systems Science Portfolio Management Seminar, American Chamber of Commerce "IT Trends in Asia-Pacific" seminar, FinTech Asia 2006, and others.

Mr. Wong was previously Vice President & General Manager (Singapore) for META Group, a leading global IT research and advisory services company. Prior to his appointment at META Group, Mr. Wong was Deputy Director (Corporate Services) for the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), the ICT research arm of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). Mr. Wong's other previous positions include Chief Operating Officer with Avosys International, Regional Vice President (Marketing & Business Development) with Firium Solutions Asia Pacific, and Consultant with Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture).

Mr. Wong graduated from the Imperial College London, with a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and MSc in Computing Science. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia.
