The coming year, 2007, is expected to be one of hyperdisruption for IT
in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ disruptive business models,
service offerings, and market movements. APEJ, more than any other region,
has experienced staggering growth in recent years. From the emergence
of globally significant service providers (SPs) to the take-up of groundbreaking
regional technologies and the explosive growth of mega markets India and
China, this will be the year that companies have to innovate to differentiate.
The regions astounding rates of economic and IT market growth have
resulted in dynamic and rapidly evolving corporate and consumer markets.
This is a role the region has gradually accepted, but the growth is now
taking off explosively. The regions economic empowerment has created
more discerning and demanding IT users who now require technology which
is sensitive to the regions unique demands and are increasingly responsive
to the needs of mobile communications, converged devices, and results-oriented
IT projects.
