Kam Han Wen Senior Technology Specialist, Novell Asia Pacific
With 8 years of experience in the enterprise software infocomm industry, Han has provided consulting services to a wide spectrum of clients in the Asia Pacific region from both private & public sector. Since his recent appointment in Jan 2008, Han has taken on additional responsibilities in leadership and alliance programme management.
Han is capable of bridging technology and the desired value to businesses, particularly in the area of IT optimization by leveraging on a combination of traditional private source and open source solutions.
Technical hands-on and consultancy skills includes SUSE Linux Enterprise, Red Hat and other Linux distributions, Virtualization and Automation for the data center and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design & implementation.
Han is a Novell Certified Linux Professional since Feb 2007. He is also a co-author of the IBM Redbook “WebSphere and .NET Coexistence” published in Feb/ Mar 2004.
Han is a regular speaker at various conferences and seminars in Asia.
Han graduated at The University of Western Australia (UWA) with 1st Class Honours – Double Major Degree in Computational & Mathematical Science (B.C.M). His Honors project titled “Can Agent Technology be extend to IT Security?” using the Java Aglet toolkit from IBM R&D has since been open sourced.
