Tarek A. Robbiati was appointed Group Managing Director of Telstra International on 1 December 2009 and is also the Chief Executive Officer of CSL Limited which operates Hong Kong’s first and largest mobile network.

Tarek has over 20 years experience in the telecommunications, finance, media and technology industries. As CEO, he has spearheaded and implemented strategies that have seen CSL retain and strengthen its position as a market leader in arguably the most competitive mobile telecommunications market in the world.

Immediately prior to taking up his current appointments, Tarek worked in Australia as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Telstra Corporation Limited from 2005 to 2007.

From 2003 to 2005, Tarek was a Vice President and Head of Corporate Finance at Orange PCS in London where he oversaw Orange International strategy, Business Development / M&A, Treasury, Investor Relations and Strategic Planning. Prior to that from 1999 to 2003, he worked as Vice President and senior equity research analyst in London with Lehman Brothers, in the number one ranked team for three consecutive years, and between 1989 to 1999, he worked as a senior manager with Accenture.

Tarek holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School, a Master of Science in Business Administration from Institut d’Administration des Enterprises, Caen, France and a Master of Science in Nuclear Physics and Electronics Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supèrieure d’Ingènieurs, Caen, France.

Tarek speaks six languages and is based in Hong Kong
