Matt Kolon Chief Technology Officer, Asia Pacific, Juniper Networks
Matt Kolon is Juniper Networks’ CTO for Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, he is primarily responsible for ensuring the technical and strategic requirements of customers in the region are reflected in Juniper’s product portfolio.
Prior to his current role, Matt was Juniper’s regional mobility architect, helping customers design profitable mobile networks, and serving as Juniper's wireless and mobility analyst for the dynamic APAC market.
Matt joined Juniper Networks in 1999 and also writes, presents, and teaches about mobility, security, telephony, and the future of IP technologies. Prior to Juniper he was a Senior Member of Technical Staff for Hill Associates, where he trained and consulted for telecommunications providers; prior to that he was an IT consultant in private practice in New York City.
Matt has presented papers and seminars at networking conferences and trade shows including MPLScon, APRICOT, NANOG, The China VPN Conference, MPLS Forum Japan, and SuperComm. He is a co-author of two books, "IP Telephony" (McGraw-Hill, 1999) and "Juniper Networks Routers: The Complete Reference" (McGraw-Hill, 2002), and since 1994 has published many technical and non-technical articles in industry journals and elsewhere.
