Bert ten Cate has been working for ING for over 25 years and is specialized in retail banking, marketing and communication and distribution channels (multi-channel approach). He held various senior management position related to improving and developing ING's retail strategy. As Member of the Board of the Dutch Post offices he was responsible for the distribution of all products and services, including those of Postbank. After this position, he became Executive Director of Bank Slaski in Poland and was responsible for retail business, including management of liability, credit and card products, market management individuals and small business and bancassurance. From 2000 until 2003 he was involved in IGA's large scale institutional development project in Indonesia and advised on consumer banking strategy, distribution channel (multi-channel) strategy and marketing communication. Presently he is Managing Director of IGA. Thanks to his experience within ING Bert ten Cate gained wide experience and thorough knowledge of many aspects related to retail banking, including strategy, organizational structure, processes, communication and product development.
